Patrick Henry Boys and Girls are in need of a softball field.
Together I know we can make this program come true! April is Children and Youth Month!
If you can, please include a contribution to this project in your unit's plans.
Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Plantation has plans for completion of a softball field on the Brookneal Campus. Director Jason Watson says that the target date for completion is the summer of 2008. $5,000 is still needed to make this project come to fruition. Mr. Watson says the field is to be used by other campuses of the plantation. We all realize how something of this magnitude can be useful to our youth. Outside activities are wholesome and healthy, both physically and mentally. Let's do our part for our YOUTH!
Remember that Patrick Henry Boy and Girls Plantation is unique to the Department of Virginia. Again, this special project of the Children and Youth Committee requires around $5.000. Make checks out to Secretary/Treasurer/ALA of the Department of Virginia. Be sure to write in the Memo section "Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Plantation Special Project" " and forward to your Dianna M. Gillard, Unit Secretary so she can keep a record of our donations for our monthly report since we do not have a Unit Chairperson for Children and Youth yet.
Before long we'll be preparing our end of the year reports. Our Department of Virginia is tops in what it does in all the Programs of the Department. Do not let your work go unrecorded and unreported! We need to let National know our members through our service to others.
